Six Moose Day

Hi All,

We spent the morning at a meeting where we met lots of people in the Resource Management Division and heard some interesting presentations.

In the afternoon we were back on patrol and immediately had a "Moose Jam" on the bridge near park headquarters. Two hours later the moose wandered deep into the willows and we went back to the coach.

After supper we hiked along the Gros Ventre River where a cow moose walked across the trail about 20' in front of us.

We then drove along the river until we saw several cars parked, a sure sign of wildlife. To our amazement, there were three bull moose resting along the river. These two sat in the grass.

Soon another one wandered in. This guy continued to eat the young willow shoots.

The river was about 20 feet below us so we had great views.

Love,
