White Grass Ranch and More

Hi All,

We met up with Betty & Walt today to visit White Grass Ranch. This former dude ranch has been used for several years as a training site for historic structure restoration. The results are fabulous.

Here are Sandy, Betty & Walt in front of one of the larger buildings, beautifully restored inside and out.

On this small cabin, notice the benches built into the porch columns.

Another small cabin has a carefully rebuilt fieldstone chimney.

After lunch in town, we visited another old house awaiting its turn for restoration. If it gets fixed up, we would volunteer to live here😎.

Back in the campground we found this barn swallow nest with four little chicks with big mouths. The nest is built on the dryer vent at the laundry room.

The campground has been filling by nine or ten AM. The staff is showing just slight signs of stress.

Love,

Sandy & Carl
