Winter Wildlife Jam

Hi All,

Wildlife jams in and around Grand Teton are not limited to summer. A mountain lion has cached a deer carcass on the slopes of a butte in downtown Jackson. The cougar predictably drew a big crowd of photographers.

After hours resting under a juniper tree the cat would rush down the hill to scare the crows and magpies off the carcass.

This has been going on for almost a week with hundreds of locals and visitors getting great views of this magnificent animal.
Not likely to still be there in May when we get back☹️.

Love,

Sandy & Carl
