Glasgow to Belfast

Hi All,

We started the day with a bus tour of Glasgow. Interesting architecture both old and new but rain reduced the photo opportunities.

Next we visited the Burrell Collection, a museum of art and artifacts collected by a Glasgow ship owner over many years. The collection of over 9,000 items was donated to the city when Burrell died.

Here we have a real Ming Dynasty vase.

and a 3,000 year old painted Egyptian tomb decoration.

This is a Buddhist Louhan from China

and a 600 BCE Chinese bell

One of over 200 tapestries, this 15th century tapestry of a seaport

Most folks recognize this Rodin

How about a 16th century 3-CPO!
The ferry to Belfast was a wet rainy affair but we continue to have a fabulous time.

Love,
