Rain Days in Makarska

Hi All,

The last two days were overcast with rain ranging from drizzle to downpour. Yesterday we drove about 25 miles north to shop in a big supermarket, had a delightful dinner out then went back to the house to replan our itinerary based on two lost rain days.

Today was rainy as expected so we returned to Makarska. The rain eased up to give us this view across the harbor.

We had hoped to visit the Shell Museum housing over 3,000 sea shells but it was closed when we arrived.

We walked along the harbor front

and enjoyed another great and varied dinner. We had fish, lamb, chicken and beef.

The clouds were lower but the rain eased so we walked to the end of the harbor breakwater for this view back at the town.

At the other end of town we found a small beach with a lighthouse on the spit. We also found the rain so we hustled back to the car.
Not bad for two rainy days; certainly no complaints. With a brighter forecast, tomorrow we will head north to Split.

Love,
