Hi All,
Our final day of driving brought us from the windy high desert of SE Oregon across the mountain passes in a snow squall then down into Beverly Beach and a campground right on the ocean.
Along the way, we learned that Oregon's siblings are not created equal. The town of Sisters looks like a well maintained old west town. With a population of 7,700 people, it is a pretty spot at the foot of the mountains. The "town" of Brothers, on the other hand, is a wide spot in the road with a ramshackle combination cafe, gas station and post office. We stopped for fuel in Brothers and learned that about a dozen people lived there, truly the middle of no place.
It was very nostalgic driving through Newport and we are really looking forward to our summer on the Oregon coast.
Love
