It’s Finally Ours

Hi All,

We closed on the condo yesterday morning.

We now face an exciting whirlwind of activities to get the condo ready, order furniture, fly to MA to supervise loading of the stuff from our storage locker in Lowell and take the coach for one more trip to Red Bay , AL for repairs to maximize its salability.

We may not be living the motorhome much longer but we are definitely two very happy campers😃😃.

Our new address is:
9 Haig Pl. Unit 301
Dunedin, FL 34698

We have a second bedroom and bath so call to make a reservation any time (after we get beds!)

Love,

Sunken Gardens

Hi All,

The condo closing was delayed from Monday to Friday. More paper needed to be pushed.
Tuesday we visited Sunken Gardens with Alan and Barbara.

In 1935 a plumber bought a 15' deep sinkhole and used his passion for gardening to turn it into a tropical paradise and one of early Florida's most famous roadside attractions.

Walking trails wind throughout the property.

Caged exotic birds include an Australian kookaburra and this Amazon parrot.

There is also a large flock of flamingos.

In addition to thousands of tropical trees and flowers, they replant tens of thousands of annuals every year.

Even in winter there were lots of beautiful blossoms

as well as a Koi pond with 18" to 24" fish.

We are doing well but eager to get moving (literally and figuratively).
Love,

Sandy & Carl

Catching Up

Hi All,

Happy New Year everyone. We moved to a much nicer campground on New Year's Day. We are now much closer to Dunedin. We close on the condo in 5 days and have been filling our day's furniture shopping and digging up documents for the mortgage lender.

Our nephew Nathaniel was visiting from MA and we got to spend time with him, here in Tarpon Springs.

On Christmas Day we had a terrific lunch at a new Turkish restaurant.  It looks like a pepperoni pizza but it is actually a wonderful baked hummus.

Ed & Diane Murray win the award for the cutest holiday image!

Happy Channukah

Sunset from the St Pete Pier.

One of the weirdest Astronomy images in a long time, a distant gas cloud looks like it is going to swallow an even more distant galaxy.

This is how we eat breakfast many mornings. Carl eats with one hand and pets Sanibelle with the other.
We are both stressed by all the changes happening in our lives but excited for the future.

Love,

Sandy & Carl
