Sunken Gardens

Hi All,

The condo closing was delayed from Monday to Friday. More paper needed to be pushed.
Tuesday we visited Sunken Gardens with Alan and Barbara.

In 1935 a plumber bought a 15' deep sinkhole and used his passion for gardening to turn it into a tropical paradise and one of early Florida's most famous roadside attractions.

Walking trails wind throughout the property.

Caged exotic birds include an Australian kookaburra and this Amazon parrot.

There is also a large flock of flamingos.

In addition to thousands of tropical trees and flowers, they replant tens of thousands of annuals every year.

Even in winter there were lots of beautiful blossoms

as well as a Koi pond with 18" to 24" fish.

We are doing well but eager to get moving (literally and figuratively).
Love,

Sandy & Carl
