Wakadohatchee Wetland

Hi All,

Monday we drove to Delray Beach to visit Roberta and Elliot. In the evening Judy and Jerry hosted a wonderful pot luck so we got to see all of our Massachusetts snowbird friends.

Tuesday morning we visited the Wakadohatchee wetlands where the birds are beginning to nest. Wood storks are gathering

and great egrets are developing breeding plumage.

The bright green lores are starting to show.

Visitors are always excited to see alligators

especially up close!

Common Gallinules have bills that look a lot like Halloween candy.

This bright green iguana stopped boardwalk traffic for a while.

This place never disappoints.

Love,

Sandy & Carl
