Hi All,
The smoke from the California fires arrived Wednesday. We are the blue dot in the middle of the smoke map.
By Friday the mountains were almost invisible.
Since long range visibility was impaired we decided we needed a strategy to get closer to the bears.
It worked! Three of 399's four cubs crossed the road right in front of us.
When mom crossed she disappeared quickly into the tall grass.
