Moose and Moon Shadows

Hi All,

It was a very moosey week. One day we had seven different Moose to deal with. Here's one along the Snake River.

Here's another in the Park Headquarters parking lot licking the road salt.

In case anyone doubted that the eclipse is near, here are 21 RVs lined up to get into Gros Ventre Campground at 10 AM! Our campground is almost directly under the centerline of the path of totality.

We had our Eclipse meeting today. Over 400 staff and volunteers will be deployed throughout the park to protect the visitors and the park. The event description was simple, " It will be light, it will get dark and it will get light again".  We expect to be mobbed with visitors but we expect a wonderful experience for all. Someone mentioned that there are people who believe the eclipse should be viewed naked, That may be another use for the very dense eclipse glasses🙀.

Tonight we went to AMK Ranch for an eclipse presentation by a U of WY astronomer. On the way home we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.
Enjoy the eclipse where ever you are.

Love,

Sandy & Carl
