Moose and Motorhomes

Hi All,

We deal with many things that stop traffic on Moose Wilson Rd. This solitary cow moose was feeding close to the road for most of the day.

Just a few hundred yards further south this cow and calf were also clearly visible. The rush hour traffic gave lots of people a chance to view the moose and practice patience.

When we finally got a respite from the moose, these three big motorhomes tried to drive down the road. Moose Wilson is narrow, winding and partly unpaved. It is clearly posted no trucks, trailers or motorhomes but some folks follow their GPS and not their better instincts. This leads to "What were you thinking?" Moments.
We stopped all traffic and got these folks turned around safely. All in a days work.

This week was the Volunteer Appreciation luncheon. We got this really neat, personalized plaque.
Hard to believe August is half gone. If we survive the eclipse (our campground and access road is near the center of the totality path) the rest of the summer will fly by.

Love,

Sandy & Carl
