Friends from Nashua, NH

Hi All,

Friends Eileen & Ben are on a hiking vacation that brought them to Grand Teton. We had dinner with them last night and today we joined them on a hike to Phelps Lake from the Laurence Rockefeller Preserve. It was our "back country" day so we were in uniform.

The Woodland trail brought us to this wonderful lake overview. While soaking in the views some other hikers told us about a bear up the trail.

This is a yearling black bear that got ear tags and a radio collar earlier this year.

This image shows the collar clearly. It will fall off long before the bear grows a thick neck.

The return hike is along beautiful Lake Creek.
It was great to see Ben & Eileen and Phelps Lake never disappoints.

Love,

Sandy & Carl
