Oban to Glasgow

Hi All,

From Oban we drove to the mountain valley of Glencoe. The views were worth the 30 mile detour.

Here a modest but pretty waterfall.

More distant mountains

On the way to Glasgow we drove along the shore of Loch Lomond.

Once settled into our hotel in Glasgow we walked around to see some of the sights.
Here's the old stock exchange.

This is City Hall in George Plaza. The tall obelisk honors Walter Scott. The white monument in front of the building is a war memorial. The crowd of people are volunteers rehearsing for the opening ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games this summer.

This is Glasgow Cathedral. The statue of David Livingston in the foreground is interesting as well as hiding the scaffolding on the right side of the cathedral. After 800 years it needs some work.

A classic cathedral interior.

This is the Provands House, the oldest surviving house in Glasgow from 1471.
