One Giant Leap to Bangkok

Hi All,

We are relaxing at our hotel in Bangkok after traveling 9,993 miles in 29 hours across 14 time zones.

The China Air flight to Taipei was cramped and we were serenaded by two crying infants but we got some sleep.

In the darkened cabin, only the glow of the seat back video screens can be seen.

The leg from Taipei was in a 747 probably built in the late 70's or early 80's. Very nostalgic.

After flying across the South China Sea we crossed the coast of Vietnam just north of Da Nang.
Could not help thinking about the war and the 50,000+ troops we lost here. Next time you are near D.C., make sure to stop at the Vietnam War Memorial.

As we approached Bangkok, cultivated fields stretched to the horizon.

Bangkok is a huge, sprawling city even just on the drive from the airport.

Back at home Ginger is staying with a National Park friend, Jess Erwin. Ginger has definitely made herself comfortable

and she seems to see eye to eye with Jess's Golden named Griz.
Love,
