Hi All,
This morning we toured the former royal palace complex.
Unfortunately, no interior photos are allowed.
This statue is of the last king who died in 1959 setting off a struggle among princes.
Mid day we flew to the modern capital, Vientiane, a city of about 70,000 people(about 10% of the national population.
Our short orientation walk took us past the Lao National Culture center.
