Hi All,
We began our grand adventure with a five hour drive to Salt Lake City. Beautiful scenery and no traffic.
We stepped into the terminal and were astounded at how empty it was. We walked right up to the airline counter, checked our bags then walked to TSA where there was no line!!!

We flew over the mountains as the sun set
then landed in LA well after dark.
It will come as no surprise that the LAX international terminal was a lot busier than SLC but it went smoothly.
As this is typed we are at our departure gate for our 12:05 AM departure for Taipei.
