The city of Siem Reap is the gateway to the Angkor temple complex.
On the way from the airport we stopped at a small market where we learned how to fold lotus flowers.

We then took the flowers to a nearby Buddhist temple.

The shrine included a 16th century bronze Buddha.

After lunch we toured the National Museum that houses many treasures from the Angkor complex.

Unfortunately, the really stunning pieces were in areas where photos are not allowed.

We will have to wait to see them in person.
